Grady Crisler Sr. age 88 of Gary, Indiana peacefully made his transition on March 11th 2015 at Southlake Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, Indiana. He was a retired Corporal Veteran in the US Army and served this country in World War II. He was honorably discharged after 2 years of his service. He also retired with 39 years of service with US Steel. He was a faithful member at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. He was a man with many gifts, many talents, a jack of all trades and a man with a heart of gold! He loved his entire family unconditionally! Grady Crisler Sr. was preceded in death by his parents "Joe & Benner Crisler", his wife "Ceola Crisler", 2 sons "Gregory Crisler, Elliot Henley", 3 sisters "Kasalen Hunter, Josephine Zeigler, Leotha Conwell", 1 brother "Sylvester Crisler Sr." He leaves to cherish his loving memories with his children Barbara Crisler Jordan, Yvonne (Glen) Crisler, Darnita Crisler Clonts, Larry (Takeisha) Crisler Sr., Devoted daughter, Leatrice (Antyuan) Crisler- Draper, Jarrett (Chanel) Crisler Sr., Grady (Pamela) Crisler Jr., Veronika Hernandez. He has 35 grand children, 47 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grand children. 1 surviving brother "O.C. Crisler Sr. of Wisconsin". Special friends Carol Carter, Jessie Mack, Mr. Berry, Mr. Bugs Bunny, Fletcher Biddings, LaJean Jenkins (assistant care giver), many more family and friends.
Visitation Wednesday March 18, 2015 from 12-8:00 P.M. Family hours 6-8:00 P.M. at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Funeral Service Thursday March 19, 2015 11:00 A.M. at Father's Heart Church, 2225 Broadway. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
