passed away on October 11, 2017 at Methodist Hospital Southlake. He was a retired employee of Marathon Oil Co., Mercantile Bank, and Prompt Transportation. Aubrey was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church, Deacon, and the official board. He leaves to cherish his memories loving wife Vanessa, children Donald (Diane), Erik (Inid), Phillip, Nita (Fred) Phinisee, Aubrey L. Jr., Syreeta Cobb, Wade (Laura) Jackson; Brothers Harry (Gloria), Sampson (Lovie), Sylvester (Carol); sisters Patricia Degrafinreid, Beverly Rice, Gay (Kirby) Denson, Sandra Pryor, Aunts Beulah Wakefield, and Mamie Philips, special cousin Tommie (Regina) Wakefield, mother-in-law Mary Lucile Jordan; brothers-in-law Kenneth Jordan, Malcolm Jordan, Charles R. (Loria) Jordan and Aaron (Kimberly) Jordan; sister-in-law Leona Chandler-Felton; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, October 20, 2017 from 12 to 8:00pm family hours 6-8pm at the church. Funeral services Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00am at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 4900 Melville Ave, East Chicago, IN. Officiating Pastor Leonard Maniece.
