Bernard Cummings was born August 1, 1941 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the first born to J. C. and Alma Cummings. Bernard attended Roosevelt High School and graduated with the class of 1960. On January 21, 1961 he married Sharon Colbert and four children was born to that union. Rhonda, Sharon, Michael and Timothy Cummings. In 2003 he married Esther Broadnax and remained married until his passing. He is preceded in death by his parents and Sister Joan Elizabeth Harris. He leaves to mourn his passing wife Esther Cummings; five children Rhonda, Sharon (Kevin) Mitchell, Michael (Linnea) Cummings, Timothy and Kevin; Sister Jacqueline Benford; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday July 21, 2018 from 12 noon -2:00p.m. with funeral services at 2:00p.m. All services at SS Monica/Luke 645 Rhode Island Street. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
