Betty Jean Taylor (Calloway), 84, passed away during the early morning hours of May 3, 2021, at her home in Old Hickory, TN. Known for her beautiful stature and immense capacity for giving to her family, Betty was born on August 2nd and raised by the late Vollie and Velma Calloway in Gary, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Jay Taylor Sr.), her partner (Sam Sims Jr.), her son Jeffrey, her four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her five children Toni (Michael), Lance (Sonia), Sean (Jasmine), Nicholas (Lina), and Natasha, her older sister Velma Lester, three grandchildren (Brittany, Kirstyn, Jasmine), three great-grandchildren Avery, Harlyn, Kensington and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. with a Graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery.
