91, passed away February 6, 2019. Charles was born on February 12, 1927 in Gary, Indiana, the son of Charles Satisfield and Myrtle Lucas Satisfield Lowe and has one sister Juanita Satisfield (Dinwiddie). Charles leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Patricia Satisfield (David) Heard, Anita Satisfield, Charletta Satisfield (Tate) Michael, and Lisa Satisfield (Hogan). He was preceded in death by 2 sons Derrick and Flenard Satisfield, and a granddaughter Danita Satisfield. 5 grandchildren and 21 great-grand and great-great grandchildren. During his school years he attended Pulaski and Roosevelt High School. As a child he worshiped at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under his uncle Reverend McHenry. As an adult he attended Family Christian Center. Charles enlisted in the United Stated Army during World War II. When returning to Gary following the war he utilized his many skills learned in the military at Carnegie Steel, American Steel Foundry, American Bridge, and served 38 years at Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) until retiring February 1989. His work ethic was unmatched, he enjoyed hard work and loved repairing anything as a testimony of honest and faithful service. Visitation Friday February 15, 2019 from 9-11:00a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00a.m. All services at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
