Cheryl Lynn Reid, age 67, of Gary, Indiana, made her transition to heaven on June 28, 2018. Cheryl was born to Mary and Ben Mc Guire on July 1, 1951. She was a long-time resident of Gary, Indiana. She attended Bishop Noll Institute High School of Hammond Indiana, followed by 4 years of college at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents Ben and Mary McGuire. She will be remembered by her 3 loving sons Calisay Landeros, Khary Reid; god son La Quante Evans, Brother Earl Kilgore , 7 grandchildren, Laniah, Landeros Jr. Collin, Peyton, Terell, Nia and Calil. Cheryl will also be remembered by a host of family and close friends. Visitation will be Thursday July 5, 2018 from 9:00am to 11:00am, with funeral services immediately following at 11:00am. Services will be held at New Greater Faith Baptist Church 2330 Pennsylvania Street Gary, Indiana 46407.

Bro.Earl and sis.Helen Kilgore I sis.Doris Blair was so very sorry to hear of the passing of Cheryl,you and the entire family are in my prayers,I say keep the faith and hold on to GOD unchanging hand,for he will see you through,sorry that I could not be there with you all,I love you with the Love of GOD.

Sweet Cheryl you were such a blessing to know. I will miss your visits to Dubuque and your amazing sense of humor. My sincere condolences to the 3 amazing sons she raised and all her beautiful grandchildren. God speed Cheryl.
