I have been thinking and thinking about you Clarence and what had come of you after I left Methodist. You were a true gentlemen, kind soul and a good friend to me. Always watching out for me. Rest your soul-an angle always gets his wings.

Clarence Lewis Richards Jr. age 94 a lifelong resident of Gary, IN, passed away December 5, 2018. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Medic. Clarence worked at both Methodist North and Southlake Campuses for over 50 years. He was known as a pillar of the community and he was well admired and loved by his family, neighbors and co-workers. Preceded in death by his infant son, father Clarence Richards Sr., mother Ella Fears, brother Freddie Richards, and devoted companion Willa Jones. He is survived by his sister Delisa (Nathaniel) Tennelle; brothers Ronald Harris and Derrick Winston; loving nephew and devoted primary caregiver Nathaniel (Yolanda) Walton; devoted neighbor and friend Bernice Standifer; nieces Drecena Davis and Asialynn Harris nephew Melton Tennelle Jr.; cousin Terry Greene, special friends Lashawn Willis and Brenda and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday December 13, 2018 from 12-8:00 p.m. Funeral service Friday December 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Funeral Chapel 2959 W. 11th Ave. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
