Darrell L. McGee Jr. 31, of Gary, Indiana was called to heaven on September 22, 2017. Darrell was employed as a Fork-lift operator. In his free time, he enjoyed working on cars, boxing and entertaining family and friends. Preceded in death by Great Grandmother Elizabeth McGee, Grandmother Juanita McGee, and Grandfather Albert Drake. He is survived by his parents Darrell L. McGee Sr. and Teresa L. (Steven) Cannon-Mitchell, Grandmother Naomi Cannon, children Darrell III, Josiah, Terrell, Elijah, Jeremiah, LaMari, Daniel McGee,siblings Turnely Horton, Daniel Clayton, Jaqua Young, Christopher Reed, Juanita E., Darria, Cordell, Dillon McGee. Visitation Friday September 29, 2017 from 9-11:00a.m. with Funeral services to follow at 11:00a.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West Avenue. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.

he really loved my mother ,brother,sister well my whole family i hope you are having fun up there say hi to all my family up there . i really thank you for making everyone happy hope to see you soon and i really wish i could have meat you , you would have been a great person .

This Saddens my heart deeply! I have known Darrell since he was a little boy growing up with my little brother Darnell they were like two peas in a pod. We all grew up on 42nd and Washington St. I want to send my deepest condolences to his parents. And may he rest in peace!!!
