Doddleatha "Dee" Roby was born February25, 1947 to Dodd & Essie Roby. She made her untimely transition on February 5, 2018. She was a longtime resident of Gary, IN. Dee had great love for her family and friends. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and was always active in church. Her favorite role was to serve as an usher. After being a member of St. Paul Baptist Church for most of her life, Dee later joined First Baptist Church in 2006. Shortly after moving to Indianapolis, she united with the St. Simon The Apostle Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by both parents and survived by her 3 sisters; Leslie Williams, Valerie Betts & Ellen Smedley; Uncles Lovell Rainge, Rudolph Rainge and Robert Raingeand a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 9:00a.m.- 2:00p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00p.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue . Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.

I remember Doddleatha ..affectionately called 'Leatha', at St.Paul, such a sweet, sweet person, so friendly and kind. Enjoy Heaven !

To the Roby Family,
Our hearts were sadden to hear of the passing of Doddleatha. We all grow up together. We lived in the same community for many years. We will miss her pretty smile & the compassion she had for other. May the family be comfort to know she is gone to be with LORD & you see her later. Also remember there is no sorrow that GOD can't heal. May her precious memories forever be in your heart..
