Evelyn Barnett, Sr. "Ebbie" born September 2, 1949 of the union of Ernest James Sr. and Alice Adele Carter in Como, Mississippi. She was the fourth child of her sibling. Evelyn Barnett, Sr. graduated from Roosevelt High School. She played women softball. She went to Cosmetology school. She was a member of Anointed Vessels for Christ Deliverance Ministry and baptized in 2005. She loved to praise God and go to church. Preceded in death by her parents Ernest James Carter, Sr. and Alice Adele Carter; granddaughter Lakisha Barnett; Sister Jacquenette Siggers; Brother-in-law James Rucker, Sr., great grandchildren Joshua & Jeremiah Matthews and nephew Fred Murray. Left to cherish her memory husband Leon Barnett, Sr. of 52 years; children Teresa Barnett, Leon Barnett, Jr. Prophetess Tina Barnett and Evelyn Barnett, Jr.; grandchildren DeAndre Allen, Darren (Tynisha) Brown, TaJerica Barnett, Deon Barnett, Daon Barnett, Destiny Barnett, Josiah Barnett, Robin Dorsey, Michelle'le (Douglas) Jackson, Teresa Shorter, Lamonte Johnson, Erica Owens, Ebony Anderson, Eric Anderson, Elexa Walton, Elijah Walton and a host of great grandchildren; siblings Marie Beavers, Sandra Spears, Ernest James, J. (Dorothy) Carter, Alice Rucker, Patricia Bentley, Naomi Carter and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives. Special Friends Dorothy Lewis, Lisa Eskew, Jessie Jordan, Juanita Dorsey, Donna Slaughter, Katherine McElroy; special god daughter Bridget Sanders. Visitation Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 12noon-8:00p.m family hours from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral services Friday, July 20, 2018 at 2:00pm all at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
