George Benard Allen, age 58, of Gary, Indiana, passed away November 28th, following an illness. George was born to Julian and Dolores Allen in Cleveland and graduated from Lew Wallace High School. George was a wonderful man, a great father, and a loyal friend. He continuously held his family first and always put himself second, he is preceded in death by his father, Attorney Julian B. Allen Jr.; mother Dolores Allen; brothers Robert and Anthony. He is survived by his daughter Brandi (Stacey) Shotwell; son George B. Allen, Jr.; Brothers William, Jeffrey, Julian III; Sisters Lisa, Lauren and Courtney; Sherida Allen and a host of family and friends. Memorial service will Tuesday December 5, 2017 at 4:00p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel. George will be deeply missed by his loving, devoted children, caring family and precious friends.
