Gilbert Campbell "Sueder", 81 of Gary IN, previously living in Richardson, TX entered eternal peace on June 16, 2018 at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. He was the first born to George and Darceal Campbell on December 10, 1936. Sueder attended Froebel High School and in 1957 enlisted in the United States Navy. During his service time, he achieved the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. After completing his Navy commitment, Sueder returned home to Gary. Soon later, he became part of the Ford family where he worked as an assembly line worker on the truck line. Due to a car accident in the mid 80's, he was forced into early retirement. Sueder truly embraced his role as the oldest brother. He did all he could to take care of his mother as well as his brothers. Although he did not have kids of his own, he served as a father figure to his nephew as well as others. Visitation Friday, June 29, 2018 from 9-11:00a.m. with Funeral services to follow at 11:00a.m. All services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue. Interment Fern Oaks Cemetery.
