Hazel Motley Obituary

Hazel Lee Motley, age 81, a Gary resident for over 75 years, passed away February 1, 2017. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, graduate of Froebel High School Class of 1953 and a retired employee of Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus. She was preceded in death by her daughter Veronica G. Ferguson. She is survived by her loving son Virgil L. (Lizzie) Motley II; son-in-law Eugene A. Ferguson; 5 granddaughters Denise L. Northern, Dionne L. Lewis, Dionna L. Lewis, Nicole L. Motley and Kelley N. Stone. 7 cherished great-grandchildren; Sisters Eva M. Johnson and Jacquelyn Tucker; Brother George Tucker; Niece Vera N. Conner. Nephew Jason M. Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 9 to 11:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. All services at Unity Baptist Church, 2019 Connecticut St. Pastor Kurt D. Walton, officiating.
