Helen C.M. Harrison (Precious), was born March 9, 1967 to Rev. Delores Dixon and the late Rev. Herbert Harrison. Helen made her transition Saturday, March 11, 2017. Graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1985. She moved to Georgia and was employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield Company for 10 years and she relocated back to Gary, IN. Precious, a lifelong member of Universal Hagar's Spiritual Church Gary, IN., where her father was the original Pastor. Helen was preceded in death by her father, Sister Lillian Richardson, Brother David Kemp, grandmother Helen Kelly; stepfather Robert Dixon. Cherishing her memory, 2 children Shala Harris, Seth Blackmon, mother Rev. Delores Dixon, brothers Herbert Harrison, Michael (Vita) Harrison all of IN, Kevin Dixon CO, sister Michelle Allen MN, God mother Rev. Shirley Aquart, NJ, God sister La Tonya Holliday, Godson Leon Grimes Jr., goddaughter, Jasmyn Anderson, all of IN. special Friends Nicole Scott IN, Kim Gardner GA.; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Sunday March 19, 2017 12-8p.m. with family hours 6-8p.m. Funeral Service Monday March 20, 2017 at 11:00a.m. both at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.

Reverend Dixon and Family, My sincerest condolences to you all. My heart is overshadowed with grief in the loss of such a beautiful and warm person as Helen. May God comfort you and bring you peace in the midst of this storm. Thou her physical body is gone, her spirit will always remain with you. Feel her smile, her laughter, and all the good things she did for you. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. My best thoughts and prayers will be with you always.

I'm speechless, nervous shock, disbelief, Helen was my greatest supporter in all things I did.. my sister, beautiful person inside and out.. we talked every week.. I will truly truly miss you.. thank you for being a good friend. I love you and your family. May God be with your family in prayer and comfort during this process. To Seth and Shayla you all know your Auntie Kim is here for you both! My deepest sympathy to the family. Helen and I were schoolmates at Roosevelt. She and I shared fun times in school and in her neighborhood. I cherish those memories with Helen & I know she will be greatly missed.
