Hello, my name is Mose Torain, I am very sorry to hear about Rucker's death. I just now found out and it is 2019. We served together in Vietnam. He and his wife visited me in Cincinnati and Alabama, but over the years we lost contact. I would like to extend my condolences to the family. I would like to speak to his wife or one of his sons.
James LeTrelle Rucker 71. A graduate of Roosevelt High School class of 1965. James was a veteran of the U S Marines. James worked for many years in transportation; driving for Gary Public Transportation Corporation, Cardinal, Tri-State, and Omega Tours and worked part time for Guy & Allen Funeral Directors. Preceded by his parents, 4 brothers Rudolph, Houston, Sidney, and David Rucker. Father and Mother in Law Mr. and Mrs. Ernest James Carter, sister in law Jackie (Howard) Siggers, nephews Michael Speight, Phillip Rucker and Fred Murry. James leaves to mourn his wife Alice Carter Rucker, daughter Sandra Matthews Spann; sons James L. Rucker, Jr., Jason (Brandi) Rucker and Jarret Rucker; grandchildren Jahon Matthews, Jayondra Spann, James Rucker III, great grandchildren Jason II, Jacob, Jeremiah, and Joshua Rucker, Dilon, Dyami, Aaliyah-Janae, and Dymothn Matthews. Sisters; Cearmease (Shallie) Bey, Brenda (Larry) Speight-Taylor, Evang. Janice (Rev. Isaac) Culver. Brother in Law; Ernest (Dorothy) Carter, Sister in Law; Marie Beavers, Sandra Spears, Evelyn Barnett, Patricia Bentley, and Naomi Carter. Aunt: Mary Rucker, Special brother and friend Jimmy (Annie) Outlaw, and Michael Ruffin, Special cousin/brother Judge Robert D. Rucker, Jr. Special Neighbors; John and Velma Davis and Countless other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday October 5, 2017 from 12-8p.m. with family hours 6-8p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Funeral Services Friday October 6, 2017 at 11a.m. at New Mt. Moriah M.B. Church 1917 Carolina Street. Rev. W. N. Reed officiating. Interment Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 11a.m at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
