was born August 25, 1963 in Gary, Indiana to John Henry and Lillie Eunice Kendrick. Jerome was youngest of seven children and a twin to John. At an early age Jerome experience a dramatic accident which caused brain damage and left him partially paralyzed. Under his parent's supervision Jerome received encouragement and loving care. As the years pass, Jerome was placed in a care facility for children with disabilities. No matter where Jerome resided, people would look forward to see him. They longed for the laughter and joy that he brought. Often an aid or nurse would indicate that they came to work depressed or down but being around Jerome lifted their spirits. He was such a joy.On Friday, April 7th, Jerome left us for a heavenly engagement. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Lillie and sisters; Sandra Johnson and Brenda McCullough.He leaves to cherish his memories, three sisters, Wanda (Leon) Evison of Chicago, IL, Biddie Kendrick and Linda Sparks of Gary; his twin, John (Shirley) Kendrick of Las Vegas, NV; one brother-in law, Gregory McCullum and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Services will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00am, with visitation beginning at 9am until time of service at Guy and Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue. Rev. Joe Levy will be officiating.
