Jessie M Sneed age 95, of Gary, Indiana, transitioned to her new heavenly home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Community Hospital in Munster, Indiana. Jessie was a faithfully worker and retired from Hotel Gary as a Cook/Waitress. Preceded in death by parents, husband (Monroe Sneed), her only sister (Earlie Mae Pratt), her uncle (Jimmy Henry), and daughter (Lillie Sneed). She leaves to cherish her loving memory 5 daughters: Bertha, Jessie (Melvin), Shirley, Sandra, and Roberta, 2 step-daughters: Sue & Pam; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grand children; 6 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, 1 close friend: Annie Smith; and a host of other family, friends and acquaintances. Visitation Friday August 4, 2017 from 9:30a.m. -2:00p.m. family hours from 12:30p.m. -2:00p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00p.m, all services will be held at New Friendship M.B. Church, 1545 Waite Street, Gary, IN Royce Thompson officiating . Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
