Jimmie L. Sells Sr. of Gary, Indiana passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Methodist Hospital at the age of 86. Jimmie was born January 23, 1931 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was a member of New Tabernacle Baptist church, where he attended faithfully until his health failed. He was a retired employee of U.S. Steel Corp. with 40 years of service retiring in 1992 as a steel pourer. He was married to Annie L. Sells (who preceded him in death along with 6 siblings. Jimmie leaves to cherish fond memories his only son Jimmie L. Sells Jr. from the union of Jimmie Sr. & Annie. 2 grandchildren Shanita and Anthony Sells, 1 brother Joe Sells and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 9 to 11:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. All services at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2416 Pierce St. Rev. Chet Johnson, Pastor. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
