Johnnie Edwards Jr. affectionately called "Pie" was born July 11, 1934 in Gowdy, Mississippi to Beatrice Hunt and Johnnie Edwards Sr. He passed on June 12, 2018. Johnnie was raised in Jackson, Mississippi where he received an honorable discharge from the Army. He moved to Gary where he worked at Inland Steel Mill for years till he retired. He leaves to cherish his memories loving wife of 44 years Delores Edwards, 4 daughters Calvilynn (Larry) Hawkins, Kim (Rodney) Wrights, Yvonne Clark And Keisha (Jermel) Johnson; brother William Faye Rouston; sister Mattie (George) Claionne; 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren ; 6 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. Visitation Friday June 22, 2018 from 9-11:00a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11:00a.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park .
