Julious C. Steele Sr. age 73 years, formerly of Hornersville, MO, former Gary resident for 41 years and was currently residing in East Chicago, IN since 1999. He passed away June 10, 2018 at St. Catherine Hospital. He was a retired employee of Calumet Auto Wrecking and member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years Vernice Steele; 2 sisters, 5 brothers and son Julious Steele Jr. Survivors: Daughter Demeterious E. Steele; 2 sons DaQuan Alexander and Raymel Washington. Special granddaughter LaKisha McMillan. 3 sisters Guise Rene Lemon, Argie Alice (Frank) Dozier, Katherine (Robert) Brooks; 3 brothers Eugene (Beatrice) Steele, Joe ( Elizabeth) Steele, Aaron (Alfreda) Steele; Special Brother-in-law Willie Green; Goddaughter Beverly Miller; Godson Ernest Arce; Special niece Jeanea Hightower and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday June 16, 2018 from 9 to 11:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Al services at Christ United Methodist Church, 201 W. Ridge Road, Gary, Indiana. Pastor G. Thomas Jones. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
