Leroy Tolbert was born July 25, 1939 in Banks, Alabama. He departed this life on Friday, September 29, 2017. He was a loving and supportive man. Leroy graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1960 and he was an avid bowler. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force. He retired from U.S. Steel in 2002 after 39 years. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; Otha Tolbert Sr. and Clara Bell Moses, sibling; Annie, Annelle Tolbert, Otha Mustafa, children; Kevin, Terence Tolbert. Leroy's leaves to cherish his memories son; Derrick Tolbert, daughters; Esso Tolbert, Michelle Dorsey and Jonnarda Tolbert, siblings; Mable Greenhill, Nellie Jones, Mattie Daniels, Fronie White, Cora Joyner, William Tolbert, Mary Lewis, grandchildren; Andre Tolbert, Michael Miller, Shanelle, Melanie, Brittany Tolbert, Xavier Pippins, Brooklyn, Brandon Taylor and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other family and friends. Visitation Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9-11:00a.m. with family hour 10-11:00a.m. with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00a.m. all at Love Feast C.O.G.I.C. 2456 Chase Street. Elder Clarence Harris Officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
