Lillie Mae Wilson was born September 2, 1926 to Laurel and Lovie C. Burrus in Coldwater, Mississippi. She moved to Memphis Tennessee in 1934 and later moved to Gary, IN in 1955. She married the love of her life Willie Wilson in 1944 and was married 45 blessed years before his passing in 1989. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Center in Gary, IN under the leadership of Pastor C. Paul Ford. She has worked for Gary School Corporation, Pulaski Middle School, and the City of Gary in Legal Aid office as a secretary. She also volunteered at Methodist Hospital in Gary, IN for 10 years. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willie Wilson; son, Jerry Wilson; and 4 siblings. Lillie is survived by her children, Carolyn (Kenneth), Willie Jr. (Pam), Lovie Pearsall, Margaret (Paul), Terry (Gloria), and Katherine (Michael), one brother, 35 grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday January 12, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. with Funeral services to follow at 10:00a.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
