Mrs. Louise Fitts Robertson was born on August 28, 1936 in Brighton, Alabama, and departed peacefully from this life on December 17, 2018, after a short illness. Louise received her bachelor's degree in English with honors from Tennessee State University, and her master's degree in secondary education from DePaul University in Chicago. Louise taught English at Pulaski Middle School, and served as principal at Kennedy King Middle School and Wirt High School until she retired. She also served as a Deaconess at First Baptist Church where she taught an adult Sunday School class. Louise was a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. where she was recognized as a golden member with over 50 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mamie Fitts, her husband of forty years, Dr. Joseph Robertson, and her sons David and Ronald. She was the youngest of six children, preceded in death by her siblings Richard, Bernice, Jesse, and Morris. Louise leaves to cherish her memory, children Rev. Lawrence (Juliana) Robertson of Gary, IN., Attorney Sylvia (Gary) Wilcox of Indianapolis, IN. In addition, she leaves five adored grandchildren, Vernesia, Daniel, Matthew, Amenta, Brianna, and four great-grandchildren, Chayse, Chad, Charyle, Kai, and sister, Maurice Page of Flossmoor, IL., and a host of relatives and friends.
