Mariah Greer was born January 31, 1936 in Tallahatchie, MS. The daughter of the late David and Lula Holmes. She accepted Christ and became a member of St. Elmo M. B. Church. She joined in holy matrimony to Charley William Greer, Sr. and to this union four children was born. She was preceded in death by father David, mother Lula, brothers XL, C Dell Holmes and grandson Damritri Greer. She leaves to mourn two daughters Shirley and Dora Greer; two sons James and Charley W. Greer, Jr.; two grandsons Danya (Marpassa) and Taiwan Dillion; three great grandchildren Danya Jr., Del'Quan and Mekhi Crawley; two great granddaughters Tatiana and Taylor Heilderberg and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday February 9, 2017 from 12-8p.m. Family hours 6-8p.m. Funeral Services Friday February 10, 2017 at 11:00a.m. both at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
