Michael Ray Hanley age 65 died on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Methodist Hospital Northlake. He was born in Gary, IN the fourth of six children. Michael Ray accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Samuel Morris. Michael graduated from Tolleston High School in 1969 an attended Vincennes University where he pledged and was a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He was a member of First A.M.E. Church and worked at K&M as a Water Blaster. Preceded in death by his father Willie Van Hanley Sr., brothers Willie Van Hanley Jr. and Shedrick Hanley. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Victoria Charleston Hanley; daughter LaShawn Ballard; son Michael Hanley II; mother Ardell Hanley; brothers Ronald (Michelle) and James Hanley; sister Tami Martin; grandchildren Jelani and Jahnari Pruitt and a host of other relative and friends. Visitation Monday July 24, 2017 from 9-11:00 a.m. Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. all services at First A.M.E. Church 2045 Massachusetts St. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
