Priscilla attended Lincoln Elementary, Beckman Middle School and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1970, where she was the senior class Secretary. She furthered her education for one year at Ball State University and later completed her Bachelor's degree at Calumet College of St. Joseph. In 1971, Priscilla was wed to the love of her life Walter L. Scott Jr. Their marriage lasted 47 years until the Lord called her home. To this union 4 children were born: Ronier (Denine) Scott, Tinene Scott, Dana (Les Sr.) Howard, and Brandon Scott; 11 grandchildren: Chantalle Scott, Kayla Scott, Brandon Scott Jr., Niya Williams-Scott, Renee Scott, Lesley Howard Jr., Carson Scott, Kierre Scott, Michael Scott, Teivon Scott, and Londyn Howard. Priscilla always helped manage the many family businesses that she and Walter started. Priscilla also worked at the Calumet Township Trustee Office for 13 years and Gary Community School Corporation where she retired after 12 years of service as an Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Specialist. In 1996, along with her husband, she formed New Horizon, Inc. an outpatient mental health and addictions counseling agency that exists to this day. For the past 22 years New Horizon, Inc has helped over 1,000 families to maintain their households, learn to care for their children and overcome their mental health and addiction issues. Additionally, New Horizon, Inc. has inspired the formation of 6 new mental health agencies by young people who worked at New Horizon, Inc. Priscilla confessed her life to Christ at an early age and loved attending church. During her teenage years she sang in her church choir and the singing group "The Revelations". Priscilla always enjoyed attending the Apple of God's Eye Women's Retreat. Priscilla loved shopping until the stores closed, dressing nice, attending family reunions, going on cruises and collecting Black Angels throughout her travels. Priscilla hosted numerous holiday dinners where she was known for her famous Potato salad and Apple Sauce Cake. Most of all, Priscilla enjoyed helping others and families. This is how she affectionately became known as "GrandLuv". On January 23, 2019, after a lengthy illness, Priscilla traded this earthly body for heavenly wings. She will be sorely missed.
