It's almost been a year. And We thought about Raymond and wanted to light a candle. Not only for us, but for him on behalf of his wife(Ella) who silently grieves and still miss him. You have become an ancestor now. May the stories you left behind shine as bright as the candle that has been lit on this day, and reveal the gentle soul that many did not see. Peace Be Still.

Ella, Reedy, Jeanette, Wanda, Jennifer, and Walter, we are so sorry to hear about Raymond's passing. Me and Raymond go back to 10th and Washington St., Froebel School, Norton School, the Gary Armory. We split up when he went to Chase School and I went to Pulaski but we still kept in touch though the years skating and stepping. Raymond was a true golfer, stepper and skater. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. We all can control our life to a point. God controls our destiny. Even though we still wanted Raymond here with us his job on Earth was finished. The Lord needed him for another task. We will always have our good memories of him. May God bless and keep all of you in this time of berievement.

We could recollect fun-filled memories and extend heartfelt condolences, but we won't do that. Instead, we would like to honor the love we felt for Raymond by remembering His loving wife Ella, whom he left behind. Remembering to not forget her, to be of assistance in her time of need. The LORD will take care of her, and may the LORD in us manifest itself by doing so.

That being said, The Class of 1970 will miss a very sensitive, warm, and loving human being.

Our family chain is broken again,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again
