I'm so thankful that I got to see Robert last year this time. It had been over 30 years. He came up to me during my brother, Clemmons Allen's homecoming service in Gary. I knew Robert when he was a small talented boy, teenager and very young man. His mom and my mom were best friends. May God continue to bless the family.

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Rev. Robert (Bobby) Sanders. Still so hard to believe that you are gone. You were a very gentle soul and humble Man of God!! You were so dedicated to the St. James MB Church Choir and I truly enjoyed working with you. You were a GREAT organist and friend!! Even after we left Indiana, I can still remember the phone conversations and words of wisdom we would give one another. Thank you for always believing in me and pushing me when I felt like giving up. Take your rest now, you fought a good fight! Rest in Heaven My Friend!

To the family,

Sanders is at peace. Think of the good times and smile. For comfort read Ecclesiastes 3:1-15,17,19,20,22. May The Creator bring you peace during this time. Sanders and I would talk every now and then when I was the Desk Sgt back in the day.

this is to the family. I met Bobby years ago at Gethsemane M B Church. Found out he went to school with two of my boys. Bobby was a kind and generous person you ever met. He taught me something that I never would think of at my age. I love him and his family. God bless the whole family and we know Bobby you have crossed over to the other side... no more pain...

We the Hopkins Sisters, send our sincere condolences to each member of the Sanders family, during this most difficult of times.

Robert was truly a wonderful person, who gave of himself to so many, he was always there when you needed him.
We grew up with him at First Freewill Baptist Church, where our families worshiped together, where we sang in the junior choir under the direction of his mother Sis. Sanders and Robert. What wonderful times we had in the service of the Lord.

Know that we will keep you all in our prayers and may your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

My sincerest condolences to his family. I am stunned to learn of his passing. He was a wonderful spirit, always a kind gentleman and always friendly. I loved to hear him sing as a teen with the United Male Chorus. His voice could reach the Heavens and now he is singing in the Heavenly choir. May God give his family strength, comfort, and peace during this time of bereavement. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
May he rest eternally with God.
