I remember Mother Vernice Davis as a woman of God serving as an usher at Freeman Temple COGIC in the 80's thru mid 90's as my sons were growing up in the Sunshine Band and Purity Classes at the church. She was faithful, quiet and soft spoken but every time I entered the sanctuary she always greeted me with a smile and said "Hello Sister Harbour" in such a warm and inviting way, just like Jesus would have done. Kindness, Meekness and Gentleness almost seem to be a rarity these days, but these fruits of the Spirit she did bare. I along with her children and family shall miss her so.
