Willie Lee Haggard Jr. age 65 was born April 17, 1951 in Indianola, Mississippi to Willie Lee Haggard Sr. and Bessie Ross. Willie enjoyed his life spending time with the love of his life and best friend, his wife Gwendolyn Haggard. He also enjoyed taking photos in his spare time when he wasn't working. He dedicated 17 years of his life working in Arcelor Mittal Steel Mill before he retired in 2009. Willie was a proud and faithful NA member for 23 years. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Cynthia Merritt-Smith, brother-in-laws Larry Fletcher, Ralph Martin and John Teer III and special cousin Eddie Lee Clemons.Willie leaves to mourn his passing his loving and devoted wife Gwen, stepson Thomas May II, grandson Thomas May III, sisters Beatrice Haggard, Pamela Miller, Janice (Larry) Hayden and Alesia Hayden; sister-in-laws Sharon Weaver, and Idette Johnson; brothers L'Sana Djahspora, Michael (Cynthia) Miller, Kenneth (Carolyn)Merritt and Cedric (Analda)Merritt; brothers-in-laws Dwayne Teer and Kevin Teer and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial Service Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00a.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue Gary, Indiana 46404.
