OPAL C DRAKE, born on December 4, 1917 to Caly Gordon and Westley Cameron in Ponotoc, Mississippi. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Eddie H. Drake Sr. She went through her transition peacefully in her home on the morning of February 28, 2016. She was a member of St. Andrews A.M.E. Zion Church since the 1950's. She lived a long happy life. She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie H. Drake, her son Eddie H. Drakes Jr. and her son Albert Bell. She leaves behind her daughter Katherine Ball and her son Hru Khuenaten. Also, Eldora Marshall, cousin, Patricia Booker, Patsy and Mary Garrett(Gr) and Alanda Bell granddaughters, Cleo, Reginald, Tommy Ball. And, Allen K. Bell, grandsons and "the big bad puppy, Socrates," and a host of friends. She will be remembered for her strong personality and her wisdom to succeed in her endeavors. Visitations 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday March 5. 2016. Funeral services will at 2:00 p.m., Saturday March 6, 2016. All services at Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave., Gary, IN. Interment Rev. Steven Floyd, St. Andrews A.M.E. Zion Church at Evergreen Memorial Park. Repast at St. Andrews A.M.E. Zion Church, 749 Chase St., Gary, IN.
