Lena Mae (Brown) Johnson was born May 5, 1921, in Memphis, Tennessee, to proud parents, Walker and Ada (Smith) Brown. Lena Passed away Thursday June 1, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Cornell N Johnson. On July 25, 1953, she married Cornell N Johnson and the Party of Life begun. Lena loved to dress well (High Heels Forever), she enjoyed going out to dinner, traveling, being with her family and friends and serving in her church. Lena lived a full life which included working as a beautician for over Fifty years. She was an active member of the Israel CME Church. Lena touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity. She leaves behind to share memories and tell her stories: Son: Harold (Jane) Williams Special nephew Kenneth Wayne (Edna) Carter, Special Nieces Gwendolyn Patterson and Patricia (Michael) Murphy: In addition, Lena (Mama) Johnson) touched the lives of many other relatives and friends. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, her quick-wit and maybe some other good things too. Visitation Friday, June 9,2017 from 12-8:00p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue. Funeral Services Saturday June10, 2017 at 11:00a.m. at Israel CME Church 2337 Washington Street. Entombment Evergreen Memorial Park.
