To Juanita and the families:
I pray that God embrace you all in His arms with peace, love and understanding. If memory serves me right -- Veneta and I were in the hospital together as 3rd graders.....that's when we first met but Juanita and I were in the same class at Ernie Pyle. Continue to hold on to God's unchanging hand and it will get better by and by. West Side High Classmate 1972

My cousin will be missed. I met her my Sophmore year while attending Gary Roosevelt High. The late Ms. Williams (Cookie)my Chemistry teacher took me next door and told me that this is your Grandfather's niece Willie James Day. Ms. Williams lived right behind my grandparents The Polk Family. My grandfather used to take me to her house next to Gary WestSide School on Burr St to visit and check on his niece. She will be missed as she was loved by many. I spoke to my moms today and told her I felt embarrassed after I met her knowing how bad I was acting up at Roosevelt and not even knowing I had Family and Friends who knew me. I Love you Veneta Day-Franklin, greet my grandparents and family for me in heaven. Your Cousin,
