Earma Lee Thompson-Byndum

Earma Lee Thompson Byndum was born August 15, 1932 in Cornerstone, Arkansas to the late Lee "Jack" Thompson and Louella Bunch Thompson. In May, 1955 Earma married Clyde Byndum, Sr. and to this union 9 children were born. Earma accepted Christ at an early age in Cornerstone, Arkansas and later moved to Gary, IN and united with Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. She became a member in 1964 and served on the Usher Board III and the Missionary Society. Earma enjoyed spending time with her family, especially grandchildren. On Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 6:10 p.m. surrounded by her daughters, Earma peacefully made her transition into eternal life. Earma was preceded in death by her parents, sister Elnora Jenkins, husband Clyde Byndum Sr., grandson Dominic Smith and son-in-law Sam Gates. She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children: Barbara Gates, Brenda Byndum both of Louisville, KY, Rhonda Byndum of Indianapolis, IN, Michelle Thomas (Eugene) of Louisville, KY, Clyde Byndum Jr. (Angie) of Gary, IN, Bernard Byndum of Louisville, KY, LueRetha Booker (Martin) of Tennessee, Angelic Bailey (Erik) of Gary, IN and LaTanya Byndum of Nashville, TN. 3 sisters-in-law Mary Byndum, Christine Hite and Clementine Rose (Stanley) 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation Friday, December 14, 2018 from 12 to 8:00 p.m. Family Hour 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave. Funeral service Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Valley Baptist Church, 1901 Adams St. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
