Carol and I just heard the news of Roy's death this evening the 24th. We are both still in shock over his passing. Roy and Jane were the first friends we met when we bought our home at Norris Lake. We always looked forward to hearing the Dillabaugh golf cart coming down the street, because it meant a visit from good friends and great stories about the kids and grandkids. I would be coming in from fishing early in the morning and the only other boat out on the water that early was Roy and Janes, usually tubing with the grandkids. The times I spent with Roy on the golf course, talking about family and values will be treasured by me for always. Our thoughts, prayers and our love are with Jane and the family.

I just found out today, Dec. 21st, about Roy's death when I called the office. I want you to know that I have known Roy since I was 21 and I'm now 54. He was like an uncle to me and helped me and my parents in so many things. I first met him through my neighbor in Sellersburg, IN and Roy has been my friend every since. Also, his birthday is the same as mine and we could always relate.
I will greatly miss him and his coming to see me personally on any business situations I needed to talk to him about. I will never forget him!!!!

Love,

To Roy's Family,

We are shocked to hear of Roy's passing. Only today did we learn of this news. My wife and I first met Roy in 1974 when we walked into the Dillside Agency in Jeffersonville, IN to buy our first life insurance policies. Since that day Roy has not only been our financial advisor, but a true friend. We will certainly miss that friendship and seeing his smiling face on his trips to Jeffersonville. Our deepest sympathies go out to you, his family, in this most difficult time. You will be in our prayers.

I've known Roy since 1954 (53 yrs.)when he moved with his family to Boone Grove, IN. He was one of my best friends all through school, in spite of my wrecking his 48 Studebaker.
He called me a couple weeks ago, just to chat. I will miss him terribly. We (my wife, Deloris) and I have been friends with him and Jane for years and have visited with them at our class reunions. Roy took us out for lunch last summer at our family restaurant. We had a great visit.
With sympathy and great sorrow.

Roy was so funny at the Boone Grove Christian Church high school youth group held at his home; the home of Lena and Grant. He had such an easy smile and gentle manner. My thoughts and prayers to Wayne and Ruth and to Dean and to the rest of his family.

My dad knew Roy for many, many years. When Dad was so ill with lung cancer, Roy worked with us to assure that all Dad's finances were in order. Whenever we called, Roy was there. Dad's passing 2 years ago was a difficult time, but Roy's diligence made the transition easier for us. We appreciated him so much. He will be missed. He was a kind, caring, dedicated man. Thanks, Roy. We'll see you in Heaven someday. Gib and Julie Davis

To Roy's Family, I met Roy in 1993 when he became my John Hancock rep. He was a truly wonderful, caring person and helped me and my family with advice and support following my husbands sudden death in 1996 and again after we were displaced following Hurricane Katrina. He continued as my financial advisor and was a true and trusted friend. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.

Jane,

Roy was a true friend, graciuosly encouraging me through a very stressful and depressing season in my life. We met in Valparaiso when he became our John Hancock rep, and he continued to service us after your move to Ohio. In God's wonderful plan, we moved to SPringboro in 1998...I truly believe that all this "relocating" was a small preparation to keep Roy in my life to guide me when I needed him. Your husband was a true man of God, and you have been truly blessed. I know you will miss him terribly, and I am keeping you in my daily prayers.
