Joann Mieska Obituary
Joann (Jody, Jo) was born Nov. 16, 1952, in Austin, to John and Kathryn Vogelsang. She graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1970.
Jody was united in marriage to Steve Mieska in 1972. They lived many years in Council Bluffs, Iowa, before divorcing. Jody loved quilting, glasswork, flowers and sharing those passions with others.
Jody is survived by two sons, Jeremiah (Regina) Mieska of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Zachary (Amber) Mieska of Lakeland, Fla.; six grandchildren, Luke, Owen, Jude, Finn, Maddilynn and Lillian; and her sister Connie Rabine of Faribault.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Kathryn Vogelsang; her sister, Peggy Ottman and brother-in-law, Lee Ottman.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on May 7 at Dexter Cemetery.
