Paul Ohnstad Obituary
Born January 4, 1955, in Rochester, Paul is survived by two children: Nicholas Shedler and Shannan Shedler; mother: Darlene Ohnstad; two brothers: David (Tonya) Ohnstad and Greg (Connie) Ohnstad; three sisters: Sherry Walden, Cathy (Pete) Knight and Carol Ohnstad; and six nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Mike Ohnstad, brother, Michael Ohnstad, and nephew, Chad Walden. Paul grew up in East Troy, Wis.; raised his family in Cedarburg, Wis.; before settling in Rochester. He had a longtime career in manufacturing and held several patents in injection mold systems.
Paul was a member of the American Legion Post 92, an avid football fan, golf enthusiast, animal lover, master grill chef, and maybe the best handyman you'd ever know. He had a head of hair to the envy of most men, and a smile that could melt you. He was a kind and generous person.
Services are being delayed until the spring, and will be held on Saturday, April 16, 11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester. A lunch reception will immediately follow the service. Paul was cremated, and his urn will be set next to his father and brother at Forest Hill Cemetery, Owatonna, Minn. A service at the cemetery will be held at 2:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome.
The family suggests memorial contributions to The American Legion Post 92, 315 First Ave. NW, Rochester.
Paul: We will forever cherish and remember you, we will look up and smile, knowing you are with family, friends and pets that you haven't seen in awhile.
