Lois Jean Nelson, 81 of Appleton died Saturday November 17, 2012 at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born August 17, 1931 in Omro, daughter of the late Almond and Emma (King) Gregory. Lois married Darrell Wilkinson on May 5, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1985, after 35 years together. Lois later married Dale Nelson on September 15, 1990.

Lois is survived by her husband of 22 years, Dale; her two sons, Daniel (Nancy) Wilkinson, Menasha, and David Wilkinson (special friend, Joni McMahon), Oshkosh; a granddaughter, Lori Wilkinson (special friend, Rick Davids), Neenah; four sisters-in-law, Hannah Gregory, Neenah, Joan Wilkinson, Hortonville, Vivian (Val) Wojcik, Crandon, and Judith (Lewis) Harris, Menasha; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Alan Morris, and Lucille and Fred Wenner; and four brothers, Leslie, Victor, Milon, and Gordon.

In keeping with her wishes, a private family service will be held.

Lois' family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Appleton Health Care Center for all their care and compassion.
