Hunt, David G. "Hoppy"
David G. Hunt, age 83, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, following a short illness with family by his side. David was born on March 2, 1930, son of the late Franklin and Alice (Rousseau) Hunt. On December 29, 1951, he was united in marriage to Beverly Wirth. A resident of Hortonville his whole life, he worked as a carpenter for nine years and then at Larson Company for 32 years. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. David enjoyed taking care of his granddaughters and working with his hands. He considered himself "a jack of all trades and master of none". David's hobbies included hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Beverly; daughters, Jan (Randy) Smith; Cindy (Bill) Bradley and Vicki (Tom) Statezny; grandchildren, Kristine (Todd) Boerboom, Melissa and Katarina Statezny and his great-granddaughters, Alexa and Aubrey Boerboom. Sisters, Dianne (William) Ratzburg, Betty (Floyd) Oppermann and Vivian Gartzke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, a sister Rosemary Weiland and brothers, Chauncey and Russell Hunt.
Funeral services for David will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home (209 W Cook St.), New London with Rev. Larry Long officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.

Aunt Bev, Jan, Cindy & Vicki and families. So sorry to hear of Uncle Dave's passing. Even though we can't be with you in person, please be assured that we are with you in spirit. May God be with you during this time of sorrow and give you comfort of a reunion in heaven.
