Jeffrey A. Williamsen passed away on Aug. 10, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, after a long battle with juvenile diabetes. He was born on March 28, 1966, to James and Ruth Williamsen (Betty Cavil) in Neenah, Wis. He graduated from Lawrence University with a B.A. in Biology and went on to graduate as a doctor from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and had enjoyed singing in the choir and playing in the hand bell choir.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Hannah; two sisters, Jennifer Williamsen and Elizabeth Biggers; and two brothers, Joshua VanWyk and Christopher VanWyk. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, at 1 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3775 Middle Road, Bettendorf, IA 52722. Memorials may be made out to Our Savior Lutheran Church in honor of Jeff and Hannah, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
