Dianne Gutzman Obituary

Gutzman, Dianne R.

Dianne R. Gutzman, Age 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2017 after suffering with Alzheimer's the past 7 years. Dianne was made whole again, and is walking and talking with Jesus ("We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord - 2 Corinthians 5:8").

Dianne was a loving mother and grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Dianne always had a fresh pot of coffee, and homemade cookies or a meal ready for her family and friends that stopped by so often.

Dianne played many roles throughout her life, including school bus driver, receptionist for Dr. Laws Dentistry in Wrightstown, but her most important role was being a good wife, mother, and grandmother.

Dianne loved poetry; especially writing lyrics for Christian music. She spent many sleepless nights writing songs for special occasions. Her music was enjoyed often at the church she attended, St. Paul Lutheran, Greenleaf, WI, where she served as their organist for over 30 years.

Dianne is survived by her faithful, loving husband Orval of 63 years, who was her caregiver, and was by her side throughout her illness. Dad is a biblical example to his family of a husband that believed strongly in his marriage vows "In sickness and in health. Until death do us part." Dianne is survived by her children: Gregory (LouAnn) Gutzman, Wrightstown, Gwen (William) Herrmann, Darboy, and Gail Peterson, De Pere; her grandchildren and their children: Aaron (Dawn) Gutzman - Thea (great great-grandson Isaiah) and Ken, Tanya (Rob) Schroth - Bud and Nicotiana, Justin Herrmann, Rachelle (Ryan) Hathaway - Titus and Everly, Danae Herrmann, Joshua (Megan) Peterson - Dravyn, Lacey (Andrew) Harcourt - Cadence and Isaiah, and Shanna (Richard) Demo - Carson and Dani; her mother Arles Tesch; siblings: Richard (Sandy) Champeau, Wrightstown, Terry (Pam) Gutzman, White Lake, Bonnie (Richard) Hoffman, Muskego, and Pamela (David Allgeyer) Champeau, Palmyra; her sister-in-law Lorraine Matuszak; her brother-in-law Lloyd Gutzman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dianne was preceded in death by her special grandparents Walter (Ella) Eisenman; her son-in-law Daniel Peterson; step-father Arthur Gutzman; step-father Raymond Tesch; father Richard Champeau; step mother Bea Champeau;.

Family and friends may visit from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, 437 Turner St, Wrightstown. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ruddat officiating. Burial will be in St Paul Cemetery, Greenleaf.

Special thank you to mom's dear friends, John and Lynn Seiltz, and Florence Brandt-Wagner. They remained friends in the good times, and not so good times. For that, the family is so appreciative.
