Sad news. Dr. Grace was a great teacher and advisor.

I was very lucky to get to know Tom when I worked at Century Oaks. He was a funny and sweet man, and the love him + Mary had for one another was truly remarkable to witness. I will always cherish the memories of watching Brewer games together, talking to Mary together at window visits, and all of the stories he shared!

I used to direct Tom in the STM choir. He had a beautiful singing voice and a beautiful heart!

Tom Grace was as humble as he was a brilliant scientist and engineer. His pioneering research with his PhD students has helped our knowledge base for the safe recovery process in kraft pulping. He devoted his life to teaching and research. Tom Grace will be greatly missed.
Our prayers and sympathy to Mary and her family.

Sincere sympathy to Mary, Misty, Michelle, Mara and the entire family of Tom. It is easy to remember Tom’s easy smile and positive personality. Then to combine that with all he contributed to the paper industry, from Wisconsin to internationally. He showed many how to live a life of giving, faith and humbleness. Thank you Tom for giving so much to this world. We all see this as a life well lived.

Tom was an extremely kind and thoughtful person, a friend, colleague and mentor to me and many others in the paper industry. I had the good future to work under his supervision at the Institute of Paper Chemistry from 1980 until the move to Atlanta. This period was the most rewarding in my life terms of personal and professional growth. Of all people who had a positive influence on my life, Tom was one of the most important. He will be greatly missed.

Tom shared many personal stories and memories with our Image group over the years. We will miss him and his unique sense of humor.
Our prayers will continue for him and all of his family. We look forward to a time when we can all meet to celebrate his life.
