Earl Zuleger

Black Creek - Earl L. Zuleger, age 94, of Black Creek passed away on February 11, 2021 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour.He was born on April 10, 1926 a son of the late Elmer and Augusta (Drier) Zuleger.

Earl entered the US Army and served in Korea during WWII.He was a member of the Duhm-Masch American Legion Post 332 in Black Creek.

He was united in marriage to Marian Sassman on June 4, 1949 having celebrated 71 years of marriage.

He was a devoted member of St. John United Church of Christ in Black Creek where he proudly served on the church council and enjoyed playing dart ball for many years.

Earl worked at Fox River Tractor Company from 1948 until the facility was closed in 1986. He enjoyed building things out of metal, having built two different tractors and several other implements.Earl would fix whatever needed fixing for family and friends in Black Creek.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; children: Sharon (Peter) Passick, Duane (Karen) Zuleger, Janet (Jim) Coe, and Barry Zuleger; six grandchildren: Rebecca (Ben) Mann, Steven Passick, Crissy Zuleger, Tammy (fiance, Jeremy) Zuleger, Amber Coe, and Taylor Coe; two great-grandchildren: Arianna and Emma Mann; brothers-in-law, Ralph (Helen) Sassman and LaVerne (Joyce) Sassman.He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela; three brothers: Lawrence (Regina), Leonard (Irene), and Gordon (Grace) Zuleger; two sisters-in-law: Vera (Bennie) Krueger and Esther Henry.

A visitation for Earl will take place on Tuesday, February 16 at St. John United Church of Christ in Black Creek from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Moira Finley officiating.Military honors by the Black Creek Legion to follow.Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.

Due to the ongoing public health situation, social distancing rules will be in effect at the visitation and funeral. The church requires that you wear a mask and sit according to the pew markings. If you are not feeling well, please stay home and keep the family in your prayers.
