RIP ole friend love, bean

I will always remember Nick will for the quiet and kind way he lived. Back in the day, he welcomed me as a new friend in my new school. Later he patiently showed me how to play rec volleyball, spoke so encouragingly to me as we played Y basketball. He was such a gifted athlete, but he wanted to make sure a stumble bum like me enjoyed the game. He saw the person.
Deepest sympathy.

My condolences. I rode for the Intruders and work for a few short years for Nick back in the early 90's. Some of my fondest memories.

My heart sinks a bit today hearing of this news. God speed old friend

I lived in Appleton from 1988-1994. Nick was a good friend, a great supporter of my athletic pursuits and a lot of fun. He was an amazing athlete, but always had the time for the rookie or the "back of the pack" athlete like me.

We had lost touch over the years. I am so sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age. My condolences to his family and friends.

Nick, the news of your passing caught me by surprise....and shock. As I look at your Obit photo (in my opinion) it truly represents you: quite/dedicated/concerned for others/thoughtful/kind/and....having a heck of a sense of humor (I see that smile on your face). Thank you for letting me know you and......give God "a good work out"!

Nick was an outstanding athlete on both the volleyball and basketball courts, but more so he was one of the nicest people I ever had the honor to know.

Rest in peace my friend.

I found out this morning that Nick died. I knew he had health issues, but he never once let on how serious they were. I hadn't heard anything from him in over a month, but that isn't too unusual. He was one of the sweetest guys I've ever known. Never ever had a cross word or a complaint, not even sarcasm came from him. I am stunned that Nick's gone. I've gone through all his notes to me. They're so full of goodness. How can his light just be gone? So I'll light this candle. I will keep him in my heart. As he ended every note, all I can say to his family now is, "Peace." I know he is sending that your way.

Nick was a inspiration to me at the Riverview Gardens Earn A Bike (EAB) program. He trained me in repairing all different types of bikes. He was a leader at the EAB shop and cared deeply in the program. We all loved Nick. Rest in peace my friend, you will always be remembered for your friendship, contributions and caring for others.

Nick was so special. One of the sweetest guys ever born. He gave me so much support, unconditionally. When I was scared, he'd send me courage. When I was low, he'd send me cheer. When I was happy, he'd be happy for me. Never a negative word. I am so sad he's gone. He was a good one, and he'll be missed.
