Richard Krueger

1945 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Krueger, Richard John "Pops"

On Saturday, May 31, 2014, we lost an amazing man. Rick was a loving unselfish husband, Dad, Grandpa and a faithful friend. Rick, age 68, son of Lewis and Lydia (Meyer) Krueger was born in Neenah on December 9, 1945 and was a resident of Neenah his entire life.

He honorably served his country during the Vietnam War and was a proud member of the F-Troop 17th Calvary in the 196th Infantry. On June 15, 1968, Richard married Judith A. Hartzheim, at Bethel Lutheran Church, Menasha. Ricks' greatest joy was spending time with his family but mostly his Grandkids. He thoroughly enjoyed all time spent with each one of them, whether vacationing, fishing, camping, attending swim lessons, karate classes or going to soccer games, he loved it all. Rick also enjoyed hunting, rummage saling, working in the yard and puttering in the garage. He spent many hours volunteering at the Boys' and Girls' Brigade. He enjoyed working out at the YMCA and was a member of the Livestrong program. Rick will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor, willingness to always lend a hand and love for life.

Richard is survived by his wife Judy; three daughters: Paula Knuijt, Patti (Arnie) Kuehn, and Pam (Eric) Lind, all of Neenah. He was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren: Kevin Kuehn, Tristen Knuijt, Ben Kuehn, Jordyn Knuijt, and Riley Lind; Judy's mother: Bethel; four sisters-in-law: Kathy, Lyn, Barb and Sherri; two brothers-in-law: Nels and Dale; many nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law: Sylvester; and two brothers: Jim and Jerry Krueger.

Visitation will be held 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1140 Tullar Rd, Neenah. Following the visitation, service will be held at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Tabitha Gallatin officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Richard's name.

Richard's family would like to thank Pastor Bob Moberg, the ER staff with Columbus Community Hospital, the EMT's and Medical Examiner of Dane County, and Deputy Sheriff Garth Blake for their wonderful care of Richard.

Dear Rick,

I will miss you now and will love you every single day of my life. There is no one that will compare to the love and compassion you have given me and our family. God now has a very special angel.

Love always,
