Lambert, Carol D.

Carol D. Lambert, age 79, New London, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 11, 2014. She was born on March 15, 1935, in the Town of Morris (Shawano County), daughter of the late Helmar and Fern (Long) Christiansen. On August 13, 1975, she married Jim Lambert. Carol and Jim have been residents of New London for the past 28 years. She worked for Bahr Construction Company in Manitowoc for 40 years as the payroll clerk and later as a bartender at the VFW in New London. Carol was a loving woman with a strong faith in her Lord. She was very gifted and spent many hours creating beautiful keepsakes for her family. She enjoyed gardening and fishing and just living on the river with Jim. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and took great joy in attending their various activities.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Cheri (Barry) Sweeney, Appleton; Crystal (Bart) Barrington, Hortonville; son Jayme (Danielle) Haupt, Plymouth. Stepchildren: Susan (Todd) Kopstad; Jim (Pam) Lambert; Nancy Lambert; Peter Lambert; Paul (Laurie) Lambert and Mary (Mark) Poncin; grandchildren: Evan, Brett, and Troy Sweeney, Jonathan and Cory Haupt and Reed, Wade and Cole Barrington; 12 step grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. Carol is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Karen Christiansen, FL; Tom (Therese) Lambert, Manitowoc; Helen (Dale) Zagrodnick, New Holstein; Ramona Madson and Bette Haupt, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Bob Kadow, Bonnie and Leonard Yindra and her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Judy Christiansen.

Funeral services for Carol will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
