Susan M. Roesler, age 70, of Fremont, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born on January 3, 1945, in Neenah, WI, the daughter of the late Melvin and Marjorie(Hawkinson)Smith, Sr. . On May 6, 1961, Susan married James Roesler at St. Patricks Church in Menasha. Susan enjoyed spending her winters in Texas, doing stained glass art, and taking her dog, Maddie for a nightly ride on the golf cart. Susan is survived by her husband, James; two sons, James B.(Sherry)Roesler, Shiocton; and Gregory(Terri)Roesler, Shiocton; five grandchildren, Christy Roesler, Rachel(Tony)Affeldt, Sara Roesler, Casie(Andy)Korth, and Marc(Kristin)Roesler; five great-grandchildren, Haley and Mason Affeldt, Jace Kelly, Brielle Roesler and Samuel Korth; two brothers, Eugene Smith, Menasha and Melvin "Butch"Smith Jr.(Special friend, Vera), Poy Sippi; four brothers-in-law, Norm Colson, Appleton; Volney Roesler, Menasha; Jerome(Kathy)Roesler, Mackville; Danny(Helen)Roesler, Menasha; three sisters-in-law, Mardee Smith, Menasha; Carlyn Pingel, Menasha; and Nona Kyle, Menasha; special friends, Tim and Esther Thompson, New London; Dan and Mary Howden, MI; and Dan and Carol Tesch, Appleton; and her constant furry companion, Maddie. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Colson and Hazel Romitti; a brother, James Smith; two brothers-in-law, Earl Pingel and William Kyle; and a sister-in-law, Carol Smith. As per Susan's wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established for the Shih Tzu Rescue of Central Wisconsin.
