Dear Sabol family,
I was very sorry to hear of John's passing. Please accept my condolences. I represented Aspinwall in a matter a few years ago, and John could not have been a more pleasant and helpful representative of his community and police force. He was certainly a great guy, and I am very sorry for your loss.
With Sympathy,
John

Dear Sabol Family
I was so sorry to hear of Johns passing. He was truly a good guy. He was always kind to me when he would come into the post office where I work. He will be sadly missed. Please know that others care and share your sorrow.

Dear Kym and Family,
On behalf of the staff and crew of Foxwall EMS, please accept our heartfelt sympathy for John's passing. He was a great friend to the Blawnox and Aspinwall communities and had a genuine love for people.
I knew John through our many years of providing public safety in our communities and we enjoyed working together on many occasions. He wasn't into the EMS end of things, so I teased him about that whenever I could.
One of my favorite stories involves a 19 year old who delivered a baby in her mother's kitchen on 11th St. in Aspinwall. I remember arriving on scene with John outside the front door. He was as white as his hair as he struggled to point out where the patient was! ;-)
We have truly lost a friend.

I worked with John briefly back in the late 90s on the Pittsburgh Voyager. He was a very skilled boater and captain. I had lunch with him back in 2008 and that is the last time I saw him. What a nice guy. Gave me his card and told me if there was anything he could help me with he would. He will be missed by many I'm sure.

To Kym and family,
Our condolences. I am sad that I cannot be there for the funeral. John and I spoke before I left for Florida, goodbyes were said, and now he is at peace. We had a friendship for 40 years that I will never be able to replace. I will miss him, the golf, the casino trips, and the many, many fun times we had together. He is on his way to a better place, after he stops for cigarettes, lottery tickets and the ATM machine. So long good friend. Thanks for the memories.
