Robert Sovak Obituary
On Tuesday, October 27, 2009, Bob, 45, of Plum Boro. Loving husband of Melissa "Missy" Sovak for 15 years; devoted father of Justin and Lindsey Sovak; beloved son of John "Bob" and Lois Sovak; caring brother of D'Ann (Clif) Stanford and Michael (the late Kim) Sovak; son-in-law of Gene and Jo-Ann Bevacqua; brother-in-law of Kristen (Nick) Azzarello and Joe (Amy) Bevacqua. Bob is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was an avid golfer and proud owner of East Suburban Medical Supply. Friends and family will be received at the BURKET - TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm and on Friday from 8:30 until parting prayers at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian Burial St. Irenaeus Catholic Church at 10am. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to S&T Bank c/o Sovak Children Education Fund, 7660 Saltsburg Road, Pgh., PA 15239.

Words can't explain what Bobby's passing has meant to me. It is a very sad time for me and all who had the privilege of becoming a good friend of Bobby's. It's like I lost another brother. Dear Bob, Lois and all of the Sovak Family,
I unexpectedly heard of Bobby's passing. I was just telling a friend 2 days ago about how close our neighborhood was and how we did so many things together. We went to school together, swam together, partied together...we grew up together, from young children to the adults we are today. Bobby was always a nice boy and he grew into a fine man. I have lost a good friend and a man who was like a brother to me. He gave me so many things and took me places where I would never have gone.
