While years have passed, I often think of Joyce with fond admiration, She was an exceptional person and I am glad that our lives crossed. I only wish it had been for a longer time.

We are so sorry to hear that Joyce has diedbut feel so fortunate to have known her for these past 30 years. We always felt an extremely close connection to Joyce. She always made it a point to truly encourage all those who were part of her life. Joyce did that with a smile on her face and a kind word...We found a poem which said the following. When someone's lost, aimless, and adrift, Take the time ,to give them a lift. yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, But today, YOU can be their gift. Joyce was always our gift. She will be forever in our hearts, Kelly Doyle-Bucci and Rudi Bucci

Dear Joyce, to all who were fortunate enough to have you touch their life we feel sorrow for our loss, great relief for your new life, free from pain and all you endured. You taught so many how to live and how to pass with incredible courage and humor. The world is a better place for your having traveled through it.

Dearest Joyce, old friend, for 53 years...we were on different continents, now we are in different spheres - but one day we will meet again and our eyes will sparkle anew at the sky, the trees, the living creatures, running water, beautiful soul songs. I just missed you, having felt the need to meet too late. I'm glad to know you are in peace now, having done all you could to live fully till the last. I thank Konrad for his unswerving presence and communication with those of us who held you in our hearts. We will see you in all the beauties of the earth, and your spirit rejoices us. Love.

I have known Joyce for over thirty years and will miss that wonderful, contagious smile that was her trademark whether at the School or at conferences elsewhere. Rest in peace, Joyce, for you have earned it! My deepest sympathy to you, Konrad.

On Thanksgiving Day, I sense the loss the all feel who knew Joyce--a truly extraordinary person. When she left, a bit of magic disappeared with her. But, the birds will sing again today and that's exactly as she would want.

Dearest Joyce, with tears in my eyes, you have been the most influential, friend, soul mate, supervisor, one could ever ask for. You were so good to me throughout my 18 years under your supervision. Your sage words got me through some of the saddest and most difficult times in my life. I thank you for that. Our trip to Cook Forest, our dinners, our shopping experiences, our daily chats will be cherished in my heart forever. Your love for animals inspired me to treat them like humans like you did. Joyce, until we meet again, stay within arms reach so when I reach for you, I will feel your spirit. With all my love, my dearest friend, I love you.
